Who are IND-X
Founded in 2007 to capitalise on regulatory changes in the investment banking sector and structural changes introduced by MiFID, IND-X quickly built a reputation providing independent commission management and best execution services for institutional investors.
The Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) set out high level requirements that encouraged increased competition and consumer protection in investment services. From this Directive, the practice of charging separately for research and execution once sold together, or "unbundling", challenged the traditional bulge bracket methods and paved the way for a global structural move towards the independent IND-X style offering.
IND-X remains fiercely independent, with a growing team of highly experienced professionals providing our global client base market access, execution and relationship management that outperforms our competitor's worldwide. Coupled with our in-house bespoke Commission Sharing Agreement (CSA) service, IND-X now manages payment to nearly 70 independent research providers (IRPs) globally.
Commission Management
PORT is our proprietary web-based commission management system. With cutting edge tools and features, PORT provides security, simplicity and transparency to institutional investors and research providers alike.
Designed by IND-X as a series of three independent software packages for desktop use by Fund Managers, Research Providers and IND-X, PORT was one of the first systems to provide a virtual "real time" view of trading commissions. It is a flexible and intuitive tool designed to track a trade from placement, execution to third party payments.
